Atari 2600 Emulators

Stella is a multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator. Stella has been ported to Acorn, Amiga, DOS, FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X, OpenStep, OS/2, Unix and Windows. A Pentium CPU and 16 MB RAM (32 MB recommended) is all you need to run Stella.

Z26 is a Windows (95/98/ME/2000/XP), Linux and DOS Atari 2600 emulator. Z26 comes with full source code so it can be compiled into any x86 and SDL compatible platform. Z26 is a command line emulator, download x26 bellow also if you want to run z26 through a GUI. At least a Pentium MMX is needed for fullscreen play.

PCAE (PC Atari Emulator) is a Windows and DOS Atari 2600 emulator. The DOS version runs on old computers (80486), though a Pentium CPU is recommended and 32 MB RAM.

A26 is a DOS Atari 2600 emulator. It runs on old computers (486DX2/75). Doesn't have a good game compatibility. A26 is not recommended.
